West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM) is a sub-regional training institute whose principal objective is to build capacity for debt, macroeconomic and financial sector management in its constituent countries.

Established by the Central Banks of The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone, WAIFEM is mandated to strengthen capacity of public sector officials engaged in macroeconomic and financial policy formulation and implementation.
